I recently photographed an engagement session here and it was the perfect mix of adventure and romance. The wide-open views, grassy fields, and stunning sunset light made it an unforgettable spot for photos.
About Max Patch Trail
Max Patch is part of the Appalachian Trail and sits right on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee. It’s known as a “bald” mountain, which means the top is wide open and offers 360-degree mountain views. The best part is that it’s easy to access. After a short hike from the parking lot, you’re at the summit surrounded by rolling mountains in every direction.

A Fun Adventure Session
For this couples session, we hiked up to the top of Max Patch just before sunset. The lighting was soft and golden, and the mountains stretched out as far as we could see. The couple spent time laughing, exploring the fields with their sweet pups, and soaking up the views together.
